Baxolve^® XP

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) is widely used in the medical community as it is a clinically proven, safe and drug free method of pain relief. TENS works by sending comfortable pulses to the nerves, via the electrode pads placed on the skin and eases pain in two distinct ways:

Pain Gate Control: MediTens^® XP works by gently stimulating your sensory nerves, which suppress or block the pain signal to the brain. When the pain pathways, which send information to the brain are blocked, it becomes more difficult for the brain to register the pain sensation thereby giving immediate pain relief, and you register the ‘tingling’ sensation of the TENS and not the pain.

Endorphin Release: Endorphins are the body’s own natural pain relieving hormones and are released when the body fells certain types of pain. Meditens^® XP encourages the release of endorphins through a comfortable tapping sensation that results in pain relief even after the unit is switched off.

It takes on average, 20-40 minutes of using stimulation before these endorphins are released and the body will continue to release these until the treatment session has stopped. The endorphins also remain in the body for several hours after the stimulation has stopped, giving residual pain relief.

You can use Baxolve^® XP to relieve pain as and when you need to. However, it is not recommended that you use the lumbar support or TENS for more than 8 hours per day. When using Baxolve^® XP for more than one hour at a time, you should turn off the stimulation for at least 5 minutes every hour.

The Baxolve^® XP belt eases back pain by providing effective support in the lumbar and abdominal regions.

Baxolve^® XP can be used as the sole form of pain relief. However, it can also be used safely in conjunction with almost all forms of pain therapy (See the safety information in the user manual for exceptions).

Yes. The belt is designed to provide comfortable lumbar support for general use. It should not be used for excessive or exerting activities.

Baxolve^®  XPis an extremely safe method of drug-free pain relief. If you notice some skin redness after a session it may be due to an increase in blood flow, pressure from the stretched belt or having the intensity level too high. The redness should fade shortly after the treatment. If the problem persists, stop using the unit and seek further advice.

Baxolve^® XP is designed to reduce back pain. However, if the pain appears to become more uncomfortable during a session, loosen the belt slightly and/ or decrease the unit’s level of intensity. Check that the pads are not worn. It the discomfort does not improve you should discontinue use of the Baxolve^® XP and try again at a later stage. Please consult the Neurotech^® team if the problem persists.

Almost all adults can use the Baxolve^® XP belt safely and effectively. Please refer to the safety information in the manual for any exceptions.

Yes. For conditions where less compression is required, the second layer may be detached.
